Hey, I need help on an art projects I keep think of thinks but I just don't like the idea as much as I should the theme of it is disguise if you could give an idea of disguise you would be a big help :3

My GCSE Art Work Answer:

Hey, well first off I would think of what sort of disguise you want; you could go typical mask themed disguise or a disguise of a particular personality trait or perhaps one thing disguised as something else? Think about what is trying to be disguised and use that as your starting point. Then I would explore different ideas within your particular aspect of disguise eg if you were to choose masks would you do a scary one or a happy one? Use this to create the mood for your piece and then you should be able to create your finished piece!
Not sure how much that helped or whether I actually answered your question but I hope I was of some help!
Good luck with whatever your doing and hope it turns out good :)

I’ve finished!!

Today I did my last 2 hours of my art exam so I have now properly finished gcse art forever!! It feels so strange that after 2 years all of the work I have created will be sent off to be graded and judged! I really enjoyed all my lessons and Im quite surprised with how much I’ve actually done! Just got to wait for results day now! :)

This was originally the image i was going to use as my final piece as i felt it linked well to Florian Meacci’s work. However, i felt the idea was a bit plain and uninteresting so in the end i decided against this idea.

The coloured photo i used coloured biro to create but i didn’t really like it as i felt the mixture of colours detracted from the detail of the image

I did the second drawing in fineliner pen and i like it as it’s very good at achieving very dark and very light tones but i felt it would be difficult to control on a large scale

this is 1/3 of my final piece. It’s really bad quality photo because i put the flash on the camera but I’ll post a better one when the other 2 pieces are done. (there’s not actually and red or pink in the piece)
This piece is A3 and is done with biro, pen and water on a coffee stained piece of paper and is of Jean
All of this is taking me a lot longer than i thought it all was!!

I have developed my work a bit more now and i have started adding a bit more detail. The first piece is not quite finished but it demonstrates what i am trying to achieve

I also took some new primary source photos of both my grandma and Jean. I think I’ll probably use the photos of Jean in my final piece because they are more close up so allow me to add more detail
